GifFetch searches for and downloads GIFs provided by GIPHY. GifFetch has no account and no ads; we collect no data ourselves and run no servers of our own. The app's only network connections go directly to GIPHY.
What goes to GIPHY: your search terms, what you are typing (for search suggestions), the content rating you chose and a search language taken from your phone's language; a notice each time a GIF is shown, opened or saved, which GIPHY requires, carrying an anonymous random ID issued by GIPHY that is not tied to you, your device or your Apple Account, is kept only on this device and disappears when you delete the app; and the GIF images themselves, downloaded from GIPHY's servers. GIPHY's privacy policy governs how GIPHY handles this.
We do not collect any personal information (there is no sign-up and no access to your name, email, phone number, location or contacts), usage data, crash reports or advertising identifiers. There are no analytics, advertising or other third-party SDKs.
Photos and files: saved GIFs live in the app's own folder, which you can see and clean up in Files. "Also Save to Photos" uses the add-only Photos permission, which cannot read your library.
Stored data: besides the GIFs you save, only a few preferences (default size, Photos, rating) and the anonymous ID above.
